Does NC electrical code require that your circuit breaker box be placed on the outside of your home? - nc builders

I am pleased with the switch to a new townehome (under construction) in North Carolina. I noticed that the circuit breaker box in the back in front of the house? I wonder if the code requires, to be present or if the manufacturer has decided to do just that?

  1. NEC (National Electrical Code) does not require switches that are out, but some local codes require the manufacturer to remove it and build, if you have places that need to use their own code to follow their code. If any of these standards have a common sense not to go. Nothing like going out in heavy rain and reset switch after a lighting storm. Better a good roof and a capella.
